Impact Graceffo was just optioned to Memphis last Friday and did not make an appearance during his brief stint with the team's top minor-league affiliate. The righty will provide a fresh bullpen arm as the Cardinals open up a five-game series against the rival Brewers on Monday.

Earns win in relief Friday Graceffo (3-1) earned the win in relief Friday against the Royals after tossing a scoreless 10th inning. He issued one walk.

Impact Graceffo only tossed seven of his 14 pitches for strikes, and while he walked the first batter he faced, he left the inning unscathed, and he'd end up getting the win after the Cardinals won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. Graceffo hasn't provided a lot of fantasy value out of the Cardinals' bullpen. He hasn't recorded a strikeout in his last five outings, a stretch in which he's issued three walks while allowing three earned runs and two homers across 5.1 frames.

Cardinals closer Riley O'Brien had already pitched in the game and was credited with a win. Graceffo has managed a 0.84 ERA and 0.84 WHIP in his first 10.2 frames since being promoted in late March, but a 6:6 K:BB isn't very encouraging. Additional save chances for Graceffo are unlikely, as he's often been used for multiple innings in the middle of games.

Impact Graceffo didn't allow an earned run through three innings in the Grapefruit League. However, he posted a 6.28 ERA and 1.47 WHIP over 43 innings with the Cardinals last season, so they'll wait to see more from him in the minors before admitting him back into their big-league bullpen.

The 25-year-old plans to alter his offseason workouts as he moves to a full-time relief role, and the hope is that it will help his stuff play up.
