Dealing with neck stinger Dodgers manager Dave Roberts described the injury Lux sustained in Wednesday's 11-9 win over the Padres as a "neck stinger," Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Impact Lux looked as though he injured his right shoulder when he collided with the center-field wall while chasing down a fly ball in the sixth inning, but Roberts offered a different diagnosis for the 23-year-old after the contest. Roberts indicated Lux will be re-evaluated early Thursday, but it wouldn't be surprising if he was held out of the series finale with the Padres later in the day even if the neck issue is viewed as a day-to-day concern.

AJ Pollock is also starting in the outfield for the first time in over two weeks, but manager Dave Roberts stated that he wants to keep Pollock out of center field for the time being due to his recent hamstring injury, per Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times. Though Lux's natural position is in the infield, his ability to play the outfield could help keep his hot bat in the lineup on a near-everyday basis. Since rejoining the Dodgers on Sept. 10, Lux is slashing .438/.514/.656 with a home run, nine RBI and nine runs in 10 games.
