INJURIES
Sitting down in Game 2
Arias isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Pirates.
Impact
Arias struck out three times in four at-bats during Cleveland's 7-1 loss in the matinee, and he'll now retreat to the bench while Daniel Schneemann mans the hot corner in Game 2.

Three hits, two steals vs. Miami
Arias went 3-for-4 with three singles, two steals and a run scored during the Guardians' 4-1 win over the Marlins on Saturday.
Impact
Arias set a season high with three hits Saturday and is now up to three steals on the season following his two swipes against the Marlins. He continues to see regular playing time at the hot corner, but that should change once Jose Ramirez (hand) returns from the injured list, with the latter targeting a return shortly after the All-Star break. Arias has a .712 OPS with 10 RBI and seven extra-base hits across 93 plate appearances this season.

Goes deep in loss
Arias started at third base and went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the White Sox.
Impact
Arias wiped out Chicago's 6-3 lead with a three-run blast in the fifth inning. It was the fourth home run of the season for Arias, who continues to be the primary fill-in for the injured Jose Ramirez (hand) at third base. Ramirez recently began hitting off a tee and could progress to overhand pitching in the coming days but remains on his post-surgery timeline of five-to-seven weeks. That means Arias should continue as a lineup regular until late July. Since returning from his own injury, Arias is 11-for-47 (.234) with two home runs, five RBI, one steal and six runs scored over 16 games.

Smacks homer in loss
Arias went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's loss to the Rangers.
Impact
Arias got Cleveland on the board with a 107.5 mph solo shot to left-center field in the fifth inning, accounting for his lone hit of the game. The 26-year-old has started three straight games and five of the past eight contests at third base as the Guardians look to patch things together at the hot corner while Jose Ramirez (hand) is sidelined. Overall, Arias is slashing .217/.254/.400 with three homers, six RBI, four runs and a stolen base across 63 plate appearances this season.

Claiming third straight start
Arias will start at third base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Rangers.
Impact
After returning to the active roster June 14 following an extended stint on the injured list, Arias got off to a rough start while filling a utility role for the Guardians, slashing just .182/.182/.227 with 13 strikeouts in seven games. With Daniel Schneemann having endured an even longer dry spell at the plate, the Guardians appear to have turned third base over to Arias while the club awaits the return of Jose Ramirez (hand) from the injured list. Arias will draw a third consecutive start after going 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run over the final two games of the Guardians' weekend series versus the Mariners.

Resting up Saturday
Arias isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Houston, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Arias has notched four hits in three games since returning from the injured list, but the Guardians will keep him on the bench to begin Saturday's contest. Daniel Schneemann will move to the hot corner as a result, giving Petey Halpin a start in center field.

Returns to action
Arias started at third base and went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Milwaukee.
Impact
In Cleveland's first game without injured third baseman Jose Ramirez (hand), Arias got the call at the hot corner against a left-hander. It was his first appearance since being activated off the injured list Sunday. Ramirez's injury is expected to keep him sidelined between five and seven weeks, so there will be more opportunities for Arias. He could share third base with the left-handed-hitting Daniel Schneemann, while both have the ability to defend multiple positions around the diamond.
