Outrighted to Triple-A Soto cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Impact Soto was designated for assignment by Minnesota on Tuesday, but he'll accept his outright assignment to the Triple-A club after going unclaimed on waivers. Over 41 games in St. Paul this year, he's hit .213 with two homers, 26 runs, 19 RBI and four stolen bases.

Impact Soto's only big-league experience was a three-game stint for the Angels back in 2020. The 32-year-old has spent this year with Triple-A St. Paul, where he's struggled to a .213/.327/.331 slash line and homered just twice in 41 games. He'll give the Twins an extra glove in the middle infield but is unlikely to help much with his bat.
