Impact Fletcher drove in the only two runs of the night for Arizona with a ninth-inning single. It was his third hit of the night. The rookie has started in eight of the 10 games Arizona has played since he was called up. He has yet to hit a homer, but he has an excellent .419 batting average to start his career.

Impact Following his promotion from Triple-A Reno on April 30, Fletcher sat out that day but proceeded to make starts out of the outfield in each of the next seven games, going 9-for-25 with a 2:6 BB:K. Fletcher benefited in part from the Diamondbacks facing a lefty-heavy schedule, and while he should be a mainstay in the lineup versus southpaws, consistent playing time against right-handers could be more difficult to come by while Arizona is at full strength in the outfield.

Impact Fletcher made a fifth consecutive start and has hit safely in all six appearances (9-for-21) since being called up from Triple-A Reno. He was originally added following Corbin Carroll's knee injury and continues to start while the Diamondbacks ease Carroll back into the lineup at DH. On Sunday, Fletcher started in center field for Alek Thomas, who trails all rostered Diamondbacks with a .192 average. Thomas is the more highly regarded prospect, but if the organization wants get him straightened out at Reno, Fletcher has experience at all outfield positions, including center field, in the minors.

In 93 at-bats thus far with Reno, Fletcher has hit .323 with three homers and a steal while registering a .976 OPS.

Optioned to Triple-A Fletcher was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Impact Fletcher spent most of last season in Triple-A as well, slashing .301/.368/.447 across 449 plate appearances. If he is able to produce similar numbers to begin the 2023 season, there is a good chance he makes his major-league debut at some point, though he would have to compete with Corbin Carroll, Alek Thomas and Jake McCarthy for time in the D-backs' outfield.
