Starting Friday Norris will be called up from Triple-A Toledo to start Friday's game against the White Sox, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Impact Norris mainly pitched out of the bullpen with the Cubs earlier in the season, but since getting released by Chicago and signing with Detroit, he's been building up as a starter at Toledo over the last few weeks. The southpaw will return to the majors ahead of Friday's series opener against the White Sox, and he'll likely have a chance to earn more than one start since several of Detroit's starters are dealing with injuries.
