Returns from IL
The Reds activated Myers (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Ready for rehab assignment
The Reds sent Myers to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Monday to begin a rehab assignment.
Impact
Per MLB.com, Myers is hopeful to return from the 10-day injured list for the Reds' first game out of the All-Star break Friday in Colorado, so he may need just a couple of games in Arizona to prove his health. Before landing on the IL on June 30 due to a left shoulder contusion, Myers had mostly served as a short-side platoon outfielder for the Reds this season and slashed .256/.358/.385 with three home runs, five stolen bases, 14 RBI and 18 runs across 137 plate appearances.

Receives injection
Myers received an injection in the AC joint of his left shoulder Saturday, MLB.com reports.
Impact
Myers is currently on the injured list after slamming into the wall while making a running catch a week ago. Prior to his injury, Myers had been poised for a regular run in center field because of an injury to Blake Dunn (elbow). With both players on the IL, the Reds are getting by with TJ Friedl and Matt McLain in center field.

Lands on IL with shoulder injury
The Reds placed Myers on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left shoulder contusion, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.
Impact
Myers had to be carted off the field during Monday's game versus the Brewers after he collided with the outfield wall following a terrific catch. X-rays came back negative, but Myers is still being evaluated to determine whether there's additional damage beyond a contusion. The Reds should have more on Myers' status later this week.

Sent to hospital for evaluation
Myers was sent to the hospital for further evaluation after exiting Monday's game against Milwaukee on a cart, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.
Impact
Manager Terry Francona noted after the game that Myers, who was forced to depart the series opener after crashing hard into the wall in center field, was in a significant amount of pain, so the team sent him to the hospital to get checked out. Francona also stated that X-rays at the stadium returned negative, but he failed to provide further detail. The club should have more clarity on the 30-year-old's availability going forward within the next few days.

Exits early Monday
Myers was carted off the field during the bottom of the fourth inning of Monday's game against the Brewers after crashing into the outfield fence, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Myers made a spectacular catch on a line drive out to the warning track, but he collided with the wall after securing the baseball and was unable to leave the field under his own power. The nature of Myers' injury is unclear at this time. TJ Friedl was deployed in center field following Myers' departure.

Remains in center field
Myers started in center field and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 9-6 win over the Pirates.
Impact
Myers replaced Blake Dunn (elbow) during Friday's game when the latter was removed and remained in center field Saturday. An MRI on Dunn's elbow did not lend clarity to his condition, and he could return to Cincinnati for further testing. Until Dunn is ready to return, Myers is expected to get most of the work in center field. He's slashing .252/.356/.374 with three home runs, 13 RBI, five steals and 18 runs over 135 plate appearances (62 games).

Impact
Dunn felt soreness in his elbow after making a throw to home plate and was removed in the sixth inning. He'll undergo an MRI on Saturday. If he needs to miss time, Myers is expected to be primary center fielder.

In Tuesday's lineup
Myers (illness) is starting in center field and batting leadoff Tuesday against the Royals.
Impact
The 30-year-old was scratched from the lineup Saturday due to an illness and also sat out of Sunday's and Monday's contests, but he's good to go Tuesday against Kansas City lefty Noah Cameron. Myers has been solid as a short-side platoon player this year with three homers, two steals and a .749 OPS in 96 plate appearances.
