Impact Bradford hasn't exactly been a strikeout machine, and he's yet to record more than five punchouts in any of his previous five outings this season. With a 13:6 K:BB and a 1.52 WHIP in 26.1 innings across five starts, it's hard to trust Bradford in most fantasy formats, as he's giving up a lot of traffic on the basepaths but isn't recording enough strikeouts to compensate for that. His next start should come at home against the Athletics.

It was only Bradford's second start of the season after being activated from the injured list on August 5 following an elbow injury that sidelined him for all of 2025. He's scheduled to face Washington at home in his next start, presenting a significant challenge against one of MLB's most productive lineups.

Impact After missing the entire 2025 season while recovering from an elbow injury that required an internal brace procedure that June, Bradford was brought along slowly after some renewed soreness in April and finally began ramping back up in July before being activated from the IL on Wednesday. He looked sharp in his season debut, albeit against a vulnerable opponent, and Bradford tossed 50 of 70 pitches for strikes before being lifted. The Rangers will also get Jordan Montgomery (elbow) back later this month, and Jack Leiter (ankle) could return in September, but Bradford made a strong early case to stick in the rotation. He'll look to get stretched out enough to pick up his first MLB win since Sept. 18, 2024 in his next outing, which is set to come on the road early next week against the Angels.
