Strikes out eight for first win
Scott (1-0) earned the win against the Marlins on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over five innings.
Impact
Scott opened with four scoreless frames before allowing a run in the fifth, generating 11 swinging strikes on a season-high 96 pitches. Though he's struggled to work deep into games, the 26-year-old has yielded three earned runs or fewer in each of his seven starts this season while recording at least five strikeouts in six of them. He'll carry a 2.97 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 38:16 K:BB across 30.1 innings into a road matchup against the Padres next weekend.

Settles for no-decision Sunday
Scott took a no-decision Sunday against the Marlins, allowing no runs on four hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out five.
Impact
Scott delivered arguably his best effort of the campaign so far, turning in his first scoreless start in a season-long outing. Control has perhaps been the 26-year-old right-hander's biggest impediment in 2026, as the hurler has hit at least one batter and also walked multiple hitters in four of his first five outings. Scott, who owns a 3.20 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB across 25.1 innings, has still performed well enough overall to this point to warrant streaming consideration in deeper leagues for next weekend's scheduled rematch at home versus Miami.

Fans five in no-decision
Scott didn't factor into the decision Monday against the Nationals, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five across four innings.
Impact
Scott has yet to pitch past the fifth inning in any of his five starts this season, and his inability to go deep into games limits his fantasy stock considerably -- which isn't very high in the first place. Scott has done a good job of limiting the damage, as he's allowed two or fewer earned runs in four of those five outings. Scott will carry a 4.12 ERA and 1.47 WHIP across 19.2 innings into his next start, which should be scheduled for the weekend road series against the Marlins.

No-decision against Detroit
Scott did not factor into Wednesday's decision against the Tigers, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five across 4.2 innings.
Impact
Scott got off to a rocky start by yielding two runs in the first inning, and he allowed at least two baserunners in four of five frames before being pulled with two outs in the fifth. It was the second-straight start in which Scott didn't complete the fifth inning, though he's given up two earned runs or less in each of his last three starts. He'll take a 3.45 ERA and 1.40 WHIP (across 15.2 innings) into his next start, which is lined up for next week on the road against the Nationals.

Goes 4.2 innings vs. Rockies
Scott didn't factor into the decision Thursday against Colorado, allowing a run on three hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.
Impact
Scott's given up just three earned runs over 9.2 innings with 14 strikeouts and just two walks in his last two outings after issuing five walks in just 1.1 innings in his major-league start of the year. The young right-hander figures to get an extended run in the Mets' rotation with Kodai Senga (back) sidelined. Scott is tentatively lined up to face the Tigers at home in his next start.

Now in line to start Thursday
Scott is slated to start Thursday's series finale versus the Rockies at Coors Field, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Scott had been on track to make his second turn through the rotation in place of the injured Kodai Senga (back) on Wednesday, but he'll wind up getting pushed back a day in the schedule along with the Mets' other starters due to a rainout Tuesday. The 26-year-old righty is coming off a strong outing this past Friday, when he limited the Angels to three runs (two earned) on three hits and no walks while striking out eight over five innings.

Remaining in rotation
Scott is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Rockies at Coors Field.
Impact
The 26-year-old righty was sent back to the minors after walking five batters and recording just four outs in a spot start April 23 versus the Twins, but Scott was called up just a few days later after the Mets needed a replacement in the rotation for the injured Kodai Senga (back). Scott fared much better in his start Friday against the Angels, striking out eight batters while yielding three runs (two earned) on three hits and no walks over five innings. With Senga facing an uncertain timeline for his return from the injured list, Scott could be in line for an extended stay in the big-league rotation, provided he's able to avoid the control problems that plagued him in his 2026 MLB debut.

Fans eight in no-decision
Scott didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Angels, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits while striking out eight across five frames.
Impact
Scott was recalled to the big-league roster Tuesday after Kodai Senga (back) was placed on the injured list, and this was a far better showing than the one he delivered in his 2026 debut against the Twins on April 23. It remains to be seen if Scott will remain in the rotation for another turn, but if he does, he'd tentatively line up to make his next start on the road against the Rockies next week.

Re-entering rotation Friday
Scott is slated to start Friday's game against the Angels in Anaheim.
Impact
During his 2026 MLB debut last week against the Twins, Scott recorded just four outs while issuing five walks and hitting another batter, prompting the Mets to option him to Triple-A Syracuse following the start. Scott ended up being recalled Tuesday after Kodai Senga (back) was placed on the injured list, giving the young right-hander a shot at redemption after his rough debut. With Senga on the shelf and with David Peterson (6.53 ERA in 30.1 innings) having gotten off to a poor start to the season, Scott could have a path to sticking around in the rotation on a more permanent basis if he's able to deliver a strong outing against the Angels.

Rejoining big club
The Mets recalled Scott from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.
Impact
The right-hander was called up for his season debut last week and was returned to Syracuse after giving up one run on no hits and five walks over 1.1 innings, but he'll make a quick return to the majors with Kodai Senga (back) heading to the injured list. Scott should now get a longer look in the rotation, which was the initial plan before his abbreviated outing forced the Mets to shuffle their bullpen pieces.
