INJURIES

Fans seven in quality start Scott (4-3) notched the win against the Nationals on Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks in 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.
Impact Scott pitched into the seventh inning for the first time all season, though he was taken yard for the first time since July 3 in Atlanta. The right-hander has yielded mixed results recently, giving up at least three runs while hitting a batter in three straight starts, but he has tallied at least six strikeouts in six consecutive outings now. Scott will take a promising 3.51 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 105:35 K:BB over 84.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance in Chicago against the White Sox.

Chased early in no-decision Scott did not factor into the decision in Monday's 8-5 win over Atlanta, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over four innings.
Impact Scott was given plenty of run support but was unable to work deep enough to qualify for a win despite throwing a solid 56 of 82 pitches for strikes. It was a bit of a step back after the 27-year-old tossed 11 innings over his previous two starts while exceeding 90 pitches on both occasions, but he's still managed at least six punchouts in five straight contests. He'll take a 3.45 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 98:33 K across 78.1 innings this season into a home matchup with the Nationals this weekend.

Strikes out seven Wednesday Scott did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Guardians, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.
Impact Scott held Cleveland off the board for three innings Wednesday before running into trouble in the fourth, ultimately giving up a run before the Guardians tacked on two more in the fifth. Still, the 27-year-old Scott did a good job limiting the damage. He's now held opponents to three runs or fewer in each of his last seven starts. Overall, Scott's 3-3 on the season with a 3.15 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 92:32 K:BB through 16 outings (74.1 innings) this season. He's tentatively in line to face Atlanta on the road his next time out.

Outdueled in nightcap Wednesday Scott (3-3) took the loss in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Atlanta, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out seven.
Impact The 27-year-old right-hander lasted at least six innings for the first time this season and delivered his first quality start, but Scott got out-dueled by Chris Sale in an eventual 1-0 Atlanta win. Over five outings in July, Scott has a 2.59 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 32:9 K:BB through 24.1 innings, and he's emerged as one of the few bright spots in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the Mets. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Cleveland.

JULY 28 • Associated Press
Tuesday's game postponed Scott won't pitch as scheduled Tuesday against Atlanta since the game was postponed due to forecasted inclement weather.
Impact The game will be made up via a doubleheader Wednesday, and Scott will presumably take the mound in one of those contests. The 27-year-old righty has yet to complete six frames in any of his 14 starts this season, but he's still been effective with a 3.13 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 78:29 K:BB over 63.1 innings.

Falls to Milwaukee Scott (3-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Brewers, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out six.
Impact All of the damage against Scott came with two outs in the second inning, when Joey Ortiz drove in two runs with a triple before Christian Yelich drove in Ortiz with a base hit. His ERA now sits at 3.13 through 14 starts (63.1 innings) this season with a 1.26 WHIP and 78:29 K:BB. Scott's currently in line to face Atlanta at home his next time out.

Quiets Phillies in third win Scott (3-1) earned the win Thursday against the Phillies, allowing no runs on three hits and no walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.
Impact Scott was impressive Thursday, blanking a formidable Philadelphia lineup over 5.2 frames. However, the 27-year-old right-hander has still yet to complete six innings in any outing during 2026, as the Mets opted to bring in southpaw Brooks Raley to put out the left-handed-hitting Brandon Marsh to end the sixth frame Thursday. Despite a lack of consistent length, Scott is set to take a strong 2.87 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 72:26 K:BB across 59.2 innings into his next scheduled start against Milwaukee.

Impact Scott generated 13 swinging strikes on 82 pitches but was burned by two homers. He owns a 3.49 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 60:25 K:BB over 49 frames this season and lines up for a home matchup with the Royals next week.
