Impact Ellis was outrighted to Triple-A on Sunday, but he has decided to test the open market instead of reporting to Norfolk. The right-hander appeared in two games with the Orioles in 2022 before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, surrendering five runs over 4.1 innings. The 30-year-old will look to return to his 2021 form at his next destination after posting a 2.15 ERA over seven appearances during that campaign.

Activated, outrighted to Triple-A Ellis (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list and outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.

Impact Ellis appeared in only two games for the Orioles before he required season-ending shoulder surgery in early May, and he won't stick on the 40-man roster through the offseason. It's unclear if he's expected to be healthy for the start of spring training in February.
