Anthony Rendon - Activated, starting Friday Rendon (wrist) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and will start at third base Friday versus the Diamondbacks.

Impact Rendon will return to the Angels after a minimum stay on the 10-day IL with a left wrist contusion. The 33-year-old has struggled to a .067 average with two doubles, one RBI and three runs scored over 30 at-bats in eight games in June. Rendon will slot in as the cleanup hitter in his return to the lineup against Arizona.

Jake Burger - Not starting Friday Burger isn't in the White Sox's lineup Friday against the Athletics.

Impact After a hot start to the season, Burger has cooled down considerably by slashing .136/.191/.386 since the beginning of June. He'll get a day off Friday while Zach Remillard starts at third base and bats ninth.

Carlos Pérez - Back in Chicago The White Sox recalled Perez from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Impact Perez was optioned to Charlotte after a brief stint with the White Sox in mid-May, and he's slashed .224/.292/.336 in the minors since then. Perez likely won't get much playing time in the majors behind Yasmani Grandal and Seby Zavala, though he can also play first base in a pinch. Adam Haseley was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Adam Haseley - Back in Charlotte The White Sox optioned Haseley to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Impact Four days after being recalled from Triple-A, Haseley will return to the minors without making a plate appearance. The 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .277/.365/.431 across 156 plate appearances in Charlotte and could return to Chicago as a depth piece if he keeps performing in Triple-A the way he has. Carlos Perez was recalled from Charlotte in a corresponding move.

Victor Mederos - Slated for big-league promotion Mederos will be called up by the Angels prior to Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, Francys Romero of MLB.com reports.

Impact Mederos, 22, has just a 5.98 ERA in 12 starts this season with Double-A Rocket City, although it's worth noting that he's used the pre-tacked balls many pitchers in the Southern League have had issues with. The right-hander has fanned 71 over 55.2 innings of work for the Trash Pandas. It's not clear at this point whether the plan is to use Mederos as a reliever or starter. He'll be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game.
