Impact Ohtani reportedly wanted to be right back in the starting lineup for Monday's contest after suffering an ankle injury Sunday evening, but the Angels will keep him on the bench as a precaution. He could pinch hit for his club if needed, however.

Impact Anderson left Sunday's game against the Angels with a tight left hamstring. Initial reports indicated that he wasn't expected to miss time, but manager Tony La Russa now says the team will be happy to have him back by Thursday. Scott Merkin of MLB.com notes that Anderson was feeling better Monday and was able to do some running, but the team has yet to receive the shortstop's test results.
