Josh Taylor - Transferred to 60-day IL Taylor (biceps) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

Impact Taylor will now be forced to be out of action until at least late May as he recovers from a left biceps injury. The move was made in correspondence with the Royals' acquisition of right-handed reliever from the Pirates on Sunday.

Colin Selby - Dealt to Kansas City Selby was traded from the Pirates to the Royals on Sunday in exchange for minor-league lefty arm Connor Oliver.

Impact Selby was designated for assignment by Pittsburgh on Tuesday and he'll now head to his new home in Kansas City. The 26-year-old made two appearances with Triple-A Indianapolis this season, tossing two scoreless innings while striking out a batter. He'll likely begin his tenure with the Royals at Triple-A Omaha, where he'll look to impress in order to earn a shot with the major-league roster down the road.

Vinnie Pasquantino - Getting first day off Pasquantino is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Impact The 26-year-old will get his first day off of the 2024 season while Salvador Perez steps in for him at first base. After his 2023 campaign was cut short in June due to surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, Pasquantino was fully cleared ahead of spring training but has struggled out of the gate to begin the campaign. Through nine games, Pasquantino is slashing .121/.216/.121 with no extra-base hits and a 13.5 percent strikeout rate over 37 plate appearances.
