Drew Smyly - Moved to bullpen Cubs manager David Ross announced Wednesday that Smyly has been moved to the bullpen, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Impact Chicago has three days off in the next week and can roll with a smaller rotation for a bit. Smyly was lit up for seven earned runs over five innings in his last turn Monday versus the Mets as his season ERA rose to 5.05.

Yan Gomes - Not in lineup Wednesday Gomes is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Impact Miguel Amaya will get the start at catcher and bat ninth. Gomes takes a seat after going 2-for-4 with a double in the Cubs' win over New York on Tuesday.
