Keider Montero - Hit hard as primary pitcher Montero didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Cubs, coughing up four runs on five hits -- including three home runs -- and a walk over 5.2 innings of relief...

Impact The right-hander entered the game after Tyler Holton has worked 1.1 innings as the opener, and while Montero had some initial success, homers by Michael Busch in the fifth inning and Pete Crow-Armstrong and Matt Shaw in the seventh took a toll. Reese Olson (finger) and Jackson Jobe (elbow) aren't expected back until at least late June, so Montero should get another couple turns through the rotation, either as a traditional starter or bulk reliever. He'll take a 4.30 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 30:17 K:BB through 46 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Reds.

Tyler Holton - Stuck with loss as opener Holton (2-3) took the loss Saturday as the Tigers fell 6-1 to the Cubs, giving up one run on one hit in 1.1 innings while striking out two.

Impact Acting as the opener ahead of Keider Montero, Holton served up a solo shot to Seiya Suzuki in the first inning, the first of five Chicago long balls on the day. Holton has been taken deep six times in 29.2 innings this season, including twice in his last three appearances, to leave him with a 4.25 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB. The southpaw does have six holds along with his two wins, but his versatility works against him for fantasy purposes and keeps him from consistent high-leverage work.

Matt Shaw - Pops second homer Shaw went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Tigers.

Impact The rookie third baseman launched a slider from Keider Montero over the left-field fence in the seventh inning, one of five long balls by the Cubs on the afternoon. It's the second homer of the season for Shaw and his first since he returned to the majors May 19. In 17 games since being called back up, he's batting .339 (21-for-62) with seven doubles, seven steals, five RBI and 11 runs.

Michael Busch - Slugs homer No. 10 Busch went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Tigers.

Impact The first baseman crushed a Keider Montero changeup 414 feet down the right-field line in the fifth inning, the first of three Chicago long balls off the Detroit right-hander and one of five Cubs homers on the day. Busch has gone yard four times in his last five starts while hitting safely in eight straight games, pushing his slash line on the season to .276/.377/.521 with 10 home runs and 38 RBI in 60 contests.

Seiya Suzuki - Goes yard twice against Tigers Suzuki went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Saturday's 6-1 win over Detroit.

Impact He took Tyler Holton deep in the first inning before lofting a Chase Lee sweeper over the left-field fence in the eighth. Suzuki snapped a 10-game homer drought with the big performance, and through 60 contests on the season the 30-year-old slugger is slashing .269/.332/.563 with 16 long balls and 55 RBI, third in the majors behind Pete Alonso (57) and Rafael Devers (56).

Jameson Taillon - Sharp in sixth win Taillon (6-3) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over seven innings in a 6-1 victory over the Tigers. He struck out five.

Impact The right-hander needed only 84 pitches (56 strikes) to deliver his fifth straight quality start, and his ninth in 13 trips to the mound. Taillon will take a four-start win streak into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Pirates.
