Impact The southpaw recovered after looked shaky in the early innings, but the Giants' offense couldn't climb out of the hole, and their bullpen kept digging after Rodon left the mound. He tossed 63 of 101 pitches for strikes while seeing his quality start streak end at four. Rodon will take a 2.87 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 112:30 K:BB through 91 innings into his next outing.

Strong in seventh win Rodon (7-4) allowed a run on seven hits and struck out four without walking a batter in six innings, earning the win Tuesday versus the Tigers.
Impact Rodon turned in five shutout frames before Miguel Cabrera tagged him for an RBI single in the sixth. Over his last 27 innings, Rodon has allowed two runs while posting a 30:6 K:BB, winning three of his four starts in that span. The ace lowered his ERA to 2.62 with a 1.09 WHIP and 105:28 K:BB in 86 innings overall. He's lined up for a road start in Arizona next week as he looks to stay hot into July.

Punches out 10 batters Wednesday Rodon allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters over seven innings against Atlanta on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision.
Impact Rodon kept the Braves off the scoreboard for six innings before surrendering a run in the seventh. He departed after that frame with a lead, but the Giants' bullpen blew the save in the ninth, tagging Rodon with a no-decision. The lefty hurler has been on quite a roll of late, allowing only one run while striking out 26 batters over 21 innings covering his past three starts. He ranks fifth in the majors with 101 punchouts on the campaign.

Turns in another gem Rodon (6-4) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out eight over eight scoreless innings to earn the win Friday over the Pirates.
Impact Rodon was nearly untouchable, facing the minimum number of batters through four innings with the help of a double play. He's now logged 14 scoreless innings across his last two starts, both wins, after a five-start stretch without a victory. The southpaw has a 2.84 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 91:27 K:BB in 73 innings across 13 starts overall, and he's projected to make his next turn through the rotation in Atlanta next week.

More of the same: Offense again quiet, as Pirates open series with 2-0 loss to Carlos Rodon, Giants The Pirates’ offense was quiet again Friday in a 2-0 loss to the Giants at PNC Park. They’ve scored one or no runs 16 times in 63 games.
JUNE 17 • POST-GAZETTE.COM
Returns to dominance Sunday Rodon (5-4) allowed two hits and three walks while striking out eight over six scoreless innings to earn the win Sunday over the Dodgers.
Impact This was the second time Rodon's kept runs off the board in his 12 starts this season, and he hadn't recorded eight or more strikeouts since May 9. The 29-year-old threw 64 of his 98 pitches for strikes and efficiently limited the Dodgers' chances to generate offense. Rodon has a 3.18 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 83:25 K:BB through 65 innings in 12 starts. He'll look to build off of this start next weekend in Pittsburgh.
JUNE 12 • ROTOWIRE
Short outing Tuesday Rodon allowed two runs on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts in four innings, taking a no-decision Tuesday versus the Rockies.
Impact Rodon was brutally inefficient, needing 98 pitches to complete four frames in his second-shortest start of the year. He's still allowed more than two runs only twice in his 11 outings this season, but the southpaw has now gone without a win in his last five games. He's at a 3.51 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 75:22 K:BB through 59 innings this season. Rodon will aim to pitcher deeper into his next start, tentatively scheduled to be a home showdown with the Dodgers this weekend.
JUNE 8 • ROTOWIRE
Fans six in no-decision Rodon didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Phillies, giving up two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out six.
Impact The southpaw fired 64 of 98 pitches for strikes and was still the pitcher of record when the Giants took a 5-2 lead in the top of the sixth inning, but the bullpen quickly squandered it. Rodon has seen his season-opening hot streak fade and has completed six innings only once in his last four starts, leaving him with a 3.44 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 70:21 K:BB through 55 innings.
JUNE 2 • ROTOWIRE
Takes third straight loss Rodon (4-4) was charged with the loss Friday against the Reds after allowing three runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and three walks across 5.1 innings.
Impact The left-hander threw 58 of his 99 pitches for strikes and generated only six swinging strikes, which resulted in his lowest punchout total of the season. Rodon had a 4-1 record with a 1.80 ERA and 53:12 K:BB through his first six starts of the season, but he's now lost his past three outings and has a 7.80 ERA and 12:8 K:BB in those defeats.

Stuck with loss in quality start Rodon (4-3) took the loss Saturday as the Giants were downed 2-1 by the Padres, allowing two runs on five hits and four walks over six innings. He struck out six.
Impact The four free passes were a season high for Rodon, but he still tossed 68 of 100 pitches for strikes in his fifth quality start of the year. The southpaw will take a 3.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 62:17 K:BB through 44.2 innings into his next outing.

Hammered by Cards Rodon (4-2) was handed the loss during Sunday's 15-6 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals, allowing eight runs on 10 hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 3.2 innings.
Impact Rodon struggled from the start, surrendering four runs in the first inning and four more in the fourth before being pulled in what was easily his worst outing. The eight runs surrendered exceed the seven the 29-year-old had given up through his first six starts, nearly doubling his ERA from 1.80 to 3.49 in the process. Also of concern is the three strikeouts Rodon has tallied in two of his last three outings, though a 12-strikeout performance is sandwiched between. He'll look to get back on track against San Diego next weekend.
MAY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Mows down 12 batters in win Rodon (4-1) earned the win over Colorado on Monday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out 12 over six innings.
Impact The left-hander had Colorado batters on their toes throughout the contest, racking up 23 swinging strikes and tying a season high with 12 punchouts. He gave up a pair of runs in the fifth inning but didn't allow any extra-base hits and kept the Rockies off the scoreboard in each of his other five frames. Rodon's ERA actually increased to 1.80 despite the quality start, and he pushed his record to 4-1 on the campaign. He has been everything the Giants hoped he would be when acquiring him in the offseason, as he leads MLB with 53 strikeouts while stepping into the ace role on the staff. He'll look to keep rolling in a projected start in St. Louis this weekend.

Suffers first loss Rodon (3-1) took the loss during Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings.
Impact Rodon pitched well despite the loss Tuesday, surrendering both runs on a Chris Taylor single in the second inning and recording his third quality start in five turns. The two earned runs mark a season high while the five total baserunners match one as Rodon has now permitted two walks in every start as well as three hits in all but one. The biggest difference Tuesday was the decline to three strikeouts from an average of 9.5 through his first four turns. Rodon will most likely make another start this weekend against St. Louis.

What's behind Kyle Wright's sudden breakout for Braves?
Continues impressive April Rodon (3-0) registered the win during Tuesday's 8-2 victory over Oakland, allowing one run on three hits and two walks with nine strikeouts in six innings.
Impact Rodon brought his top-tier stuff for the fourth time in as many games this season and cruised to an easy victory following six strong innings. The first-year-Giant has now struck out at least eight batters while allowing no more than one run in all four starts this season and ranks among the league leaders in most major pitching categories, with his 38 strikeouts leading second-place Corbin Burnes by five. Rodon will look to carry over his exceptional April performance on Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Starting Tuesday Rodon is starting Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Rodon initially lined up to start Monday's road matchup in Milwaukee, but he'll get an extra day of rest while Sam Long takes the mound against the Brewers. Rodon has earned wins in two of his three starts this year and has posted a 1.06 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in 17 innings.

APRIL 21 • ASSOCIATED PRESS
Dominates again in win Rodon (2-0) earned the win over the Mets on Wednesday, completing five scoreless innings during which he allowed three hits and two walks while striking out eight.
Impact Rodon continued to impress in his third start for San Francisco, earning his second victory with five scoreless frames. The southpaw kept Mets hitters on their toes throughout the outing, inducing 19 swinging strikes. He has yet to allow more than three hits in an appearance and has struck out at least eight batters in each of his starts thus far. Perhaps the only disappointing development from a fantasy perspective is that the veteran hurler ran his pitch count up to 95 through five innings Wednesday, preventing him from going out for the sixth with the chance for a quality start. Rodon is building upon last season's breakout campaign with a 1.06 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 29:6 K:BB through 17 frames. His next start is expected to take place in Milwaukee on Monday.
