MLB 2026 Buzz: Braves Acquire Catcher Joey Bart in Trade With Pirates

Mixed bag in third win Rodon (3-2) notched the win Wednesday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out seven.

Impact Rodon yielded mixed results Wednesday, giving up all three of his runs in the third inning while also surrendering a season-worst seven knocks on the evening. The 33-year-old southpaw fanned seven in his third consecutive start, however, and also allowed a season-low one walk. Rodon will take a steady 3.50 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 41:20 K:BB over 36 innings into his next scheduled outing in Detroit.

Tosses third straight quality start Rodon (2-2) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up three runs on four hits and three walks over six innings in an 8-4 victory over the Guardians. He struck out seven.

Impact The veteran left-hander delivered his third straight quality start on 96 pitches (58 strikes) as he gets rolling following his belated season debut May 10. Over those three outings, Rodon has gone 2-0 with a 2.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 17:8 K:BB in 18 innings. He'll look to stay locked in for his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come at home next week against his former club, the White Sox.

Impact Rodon continues to be very difficult to hit, giving up four knocks or fewer in all five of his starts so far, but control has been an issue. The 33-year-old left-hander has now issued multiple free passes each time out, though he's also thrown at least five innings while yielding a lone run in all of his previous three outings. Rodon will try to further improve on a 2.88 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB over 24.2 innings in his next appearance, which is set to be a rematch versus the Guardians in Cleveland.

Impact Rodon picked up his first win and first quality start of the season, throwing 56 of 93 pitches for strikes. The lone run against him came on a Nick Kurtz solo shot in the first inning. Rodon has been shaking off the rust after offseason elbow surgery, but he's given up just one run in each of his last two outings.
