Throws bullpen session Thielbar (oblique) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Impact The 36-year-old southpaw reportedly reached the mid-80s and was satisfied with his intensity. Thielbar will throw another bullpen session within the next few days, at which point the Twins will determine his next steps. Thielbar has been on the injured list since May 5 with a right oblique strain.

Expected to throw off mound soon Thielbar (oblique) has resumed playing catch and he's expected to throw off the mound next week, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Impact Thielbar is currently on the injured list with a right oblique strain, but the strain is considered "moderate" and it's a positive development he's back to throwing. It seems likely Thielbar will need a rehab assignment, but he could be back as an option for the Minnesota bullpen around the start of June.
