Healthy again at Triple-A Serven (oblique) has gone 6-for-19 with a double, a stolen base, six RBI and two runs in four games since being activated from Triple-A Toledo's 7-day injured list April 15

Impact Serven suffered a left oblique strain in early March that ended any hopes he had of making the Tigers' Opening Day roster as a backup catcher and also resulted in him beginning the season on the shelf at Triple-A. He was cleared to debut for Toledo after beginning a rehab assignment at Single-A Lakeland on April 4 and appearing in seven games.

Impact Serven has been cleared for game action after suffering a left oblique strain in early March. He will eventually be assigned to Triple-A Toledo, where he'll offer catching depth.

Impact The backstop scored what proved to be the game-winning run in the third inning as he guided Bowden Francis and the bullpen to a 2-0 victory. Serven is emerging as Francis' personal catcher, working with him in each of the right-hander's last three starts, and it's hard to argue with the results -- Francis has a 0.41 ERA, 0.36 WHIP and 24:3 K:BB over 22 innings in those outings. Serven's been adding a little offense as well, batting .280 (7-for-25) in August with three doubles, three RBI and three runs over 10 appearances.
