Impact Phillips was able to log all four possible plate appearances while serving as the leadoff hitter, although he was pinch-run for in the eighth after starting the extra frame as the inning-opening runner on second base. Phillips didn't play in the second game of the twin bill although there were no reports of a setback, and the team's official site reports he should travel with the Rays on the road trip that begins Monday in advance of potentially being activated when first eligible Thursday.

Impact Phillips' absence won't significantly alter the Rays' plans in the outfield, as he's merely a part-time player, starting nine out of 25 games in the month of August.
