Impact Hurter last pitched for the Tigers on May 22 and has been rehabbing from a back injury. He spent about a month in the minors working his way back into from and is now ready to return to Detroit's bullpen. To make room for Hurter on the 40-man roster, Matt Vierling (adductor/heel) was placed on the 60-day IL, and to clear space on the active roster, Andrew Sears was optioned to Triple-A Toledo.
