Impact Dickson was designated for assignment by the Cardinals earlier in the week and will remain in the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed. The 36-year-old saw his first major-league action since 2012 this season and gave up three runs on five hits over two innings.

Impact Dickson's contract was selected by the Cardinals on Wednesday, and he allowed three runs in two innings across two appearances during his time on the major-league roster. The right-hander will be cast off the 40-man roster once again after southpaw Andrew Miller (foot) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list.
