Moves to 60-day IL The Rangers transferred Miller (hamstring) to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Impact A strained left hamstring forced Miller to the injured list Aug. 2, so his move to the 60-day IL will keep him out through the end of the regular season. Evan Carter was selected from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move and will fill Miller's spot on the 40-man roster.

Impact Miller will presumably spend the weekend on the farm before returning to the Rangers' active major-league roster early next week. He's been on the injured list since Aug. 2 because of a left hamstring strain.

Impact The good news is here is that Corey Seager (thumb) has been activated from the IL in a corresponding roster move and will return to the Rangers' starting lineup Wednesday night against the White Sox. Miller suffered the hamstring strain in Tuesday's win over Chicago and seems likely to be out for at least a couple of weeks.
