Kyle Schwarber - Homers, drives in three Schwarber went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's 6-1 victory over the Red Sox.
Impact Schwarber extended the Phillies' lead to 2-0 in the fourth inning with an RBI single. He'd pick up another two RBI with a home run in the sixth, a 434-foot shot off the left-handed Richard Bleier. Schwarber had been mired in an extended slump before Sunday's outburst. The two-hit game snapped an 0-for-19 stretch. Schwarber is now slashing .188/.307/.406 with eight home runs, 16 RBI and 19 runs scored through 150 plate appearances.

Taijuan Walker - Sharp in bounce-back outing Walker (3-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on three hits over six innings against the Red Sox. He struck out six.
Impact It was an encouraging performance from Walker, who allowed 13 runs over 7.1 innings in his previous two starts. Triston Casas' solo home run in the fifth was the lone blemish on Walker's line Sunday. The 30-year-old righty lowered his ERA to 5.97 with a 1.41 WHIP and 35:17 K:BB through his first 34.2 innings this season. Walker will look to build on Sunday's performance in his next start, tentatively lined up for next week in Colorado.

Impact When exactly that start will come isn't clear, but it will either be next weekend against the Cardinals or early next week versus the Mariners. James Paxton (hamstring) is also set to join the rotation next weekend, so the Red Sox appear poised to use a six-man rotation for at least one turn. Houck was charged with three runs on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings against the Phillies on Sunday, notching four strikeouts along the way.
