Trey Mancini - Remains out of lineup Mancini (ribs) isn't starting Monday's game against the Twins, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact Mancini has been dealing with soreness in his ribs recently and will be out of the lineup for a third consecutive game. However, manager Brandon Hyde said the 30-year-old was available off the bench Sunday, and Mancini has shown enough improvement to be a reserve option again Monday, according to Zachary Silver of MLB.com. Tyler Nevin will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth.

Kevin Smith - Listed on IL Smith (undisclosed) is listed on the 7-day minor-league injured list at Triple-A Norfolk.

Impact Smith last pitched for the Tides on April 23. He has a 1.23 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 9:9 K:BB across 14.2 innings this season, but with little information on the nature of his injury, it's unclear how long he'll be out.

Kelvin Gutierrez - Designated for assignment Gutierrez was designated for assignment by the Orioles on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact With roster sizes dropping from 28 to 26, the Orioles decided to move on from Gutierrez. The 27-year-old has gone 4-for-28 at with one extra-base hit and three RBI over 12 games. He will now either report to Triple-A Norfolk, get claimed by another team or be released outright.

Jackie Bradley Jr. - Average dips over road trip Bradley went 0-for-4 in Sunday's 9-5 loss to the Orioles.

Impact Bradley and the Red Sox finished a disastrous road trip. Boston's starting right fielder went 2-for-33 (.061) in nine games on the road, dropping his season line to .147/.227/.206. If the team were hitting close to its preseason projections, they might be able to swallow Bradley's cipher of a bat. But with Boston's offense underperforming -- particularly at right field and first base -- change may need to happen. It started at first base Friday when Franchy Cordero was called up to platoon with Bobby Dalbec. As for right field, Jarren Duran is lighting it up at Triple-A Worcester, posting a .340/.441/.540 line over 13 games for the WooSox.

Franchy Cordero - Collects double, RBI in loss Cordero started at first base and went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and an RBI in Sunday's 9-5 loss to Baltimore.

Impact Cordero's fourth-inning sacrifice fly gave Boston a short-lived 1-0 lead. He later produced his first hit since being called up Friday. After his callup, Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Cordero would handle the strongside of a platoon at first base with Bobby Dalbec, although he did not play Saturday against a right-hander.
