Impact Potts was designated for assignment by Boston on Tuesday, and he'll remain in the organization after going unclaimed on waivers. The righty made 15 starts at Double-A Portland last year and posted a 4.66 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 63.2 innings. He'll likely begin the 2022 campaign in Portland.

Brayan Bello - Optioned to Triple-A Bello was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Impact Bello made just one Grapefruit League appearance for the Red Sox this spring and struck out one in a perfect relief inning. He'll begin the regular season in the minors but is one of the team's top prospects and will likely be in the mix to make his major-league debut at some point this year.
