Impact Gage joined the major-league bullpen last week and posted a 1.80 ERA and 0.60 WHIP in five innings over four appearances with the Blue Jays. However, he'll head back to the minors after Otto Lopez was called up Friday.

Impact The 23-year-old hit .225 with a homer, 14 runs, 14 RBI and four stolen bases over 35 games in Buffalo to begin the season, and he'll join the major-league club to provide additional infield depth while Bo Bichette (foot) is banged up. Lopez appeared in just one game for the Blue Jays last year.

Yusniel Diaz - Begins rehab assignment Diaz (hamstring) began a rehab assignment with the Orioles' FCL affiliate Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact Diaz has been out over a month with a strained right hamstring. He recorded a strong .327/.424/.510 line in 14 games for Triple-A Norfolk prior to the injury, so the Orioles will be hoping he can get back to that level of performance upon his return to game action.
