Jorge LĂłpez - Lasts two innings Lopez (3-14) was charged with the loss Thursday against the Rays after surrendering four runs on four hits and a pair of walks while striking out two across two innings.
Impact Lopez just didn't have it Thursday, allowing his first four runners to reach while walking in the first run of the game. The second inning didn't get any better for the 28-year-old, whose fastball velocity was down in the short outing. Lopez has given up 11 runs in just 5.1 innings over his last two starts, taking the loss in both while becoming the first major-league pitcher to be tagged with 14 losses this year. The right-hander's struggles raise his ERA to 6.35 and WHIP to 1.68. He's projected to take on the Angels at home next week.

Shane McClanahan - Fans eight in win McClanahan (8-4) picked up the win Thursday after holding the Orioles to one run on five hits and a walk while striking out eight across five innings.
Impact McClanahan cruised to his fourth straight win by punching out a career-high-tying eight batters while receiving ample run support from his teammates. It was the ninth time this season that the southpaw has pitched into at least the sixth inning, doing so in only 79 pitches this time around. His recent success has improved his season stats to a 3.63 ERA and 1.28 WHIP across 94.1 innings.
