Anthony Santander - Heading out on rehab assignment Santander (ankle) will report to Double-A Bowie on Friday to begin a rehab assignment, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact Since Santander's left ankle sprain has kept him on the shelf since April 20, he'll need to complete a handful of games in the minors before Baltimore is comfortable activating him. Look for Santander to get work in both the corner outfield and at designated hitter, with the Orioles likely to reinstate him once he's able to play a full nine innings defensively. Once Santander is reinstated, he'll likely take back an everyday role from DJ Stewart, who has stumbled to a .184/.319/.289 slash line on the season.

Tyler Wells - Logs two scoreless innings Wells pitched two scoreless innings with one walk and no strikeouts in Wednesday's 7-1 loss to the Mets.
Impact Wells entered in the seventh inning of a lopsided game, but he kept it from getting any worse. The 26-year-old has a 5.40 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB across 15 innings in nine appearances. This was just the third time this season Wells has kept runs off the board -- he's likely to continue in a low-leverage role.

Shawn Armstrong - Works out of jam Armstrong allowed two hits and struck out two in two-thirds of an inning in Wednesday's 7-1 loss to the Mets.
Impact Armstrong relieved starter Matt Harvey with one out in the fifth inning. Armstrong allowed two inherited runners to score, but avoided any damage on his own line. The 30-year-old right-hander has struggled to a 10.13 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and 12:7 K:BB across 10.2 innings this year. Until he can string together better outings, Armstrong will likely remain in low-leverage situations.
