Charlie Culberson - Returns to Atlanta Culberson signed a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Friday.
Impact Culberson opted out of his minor-league deal with the Rays last week and is now headed back to Atlanta, where he played from 2018-20. The 33-year-old is a favorite of manager Brian Snitker, but if he winds up playing too much it's probably not a great sign for Atlanta.

A.J. Minter - Works ninth in non-save situation Minter walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Thursday's during a 7-2 win over the Nationals.
Impact Atlanta was only up 4-2 heading into the top of the ninth but tacked on three more runs in its half of the frame, erasing the save situation for Minter. It's still reassuring that he was the clear choice to close out of the game for manager Brian Snitker, but with Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) hoping to return in mid-April, there may be only a handful of save opportunities for Minter before he gets bumped back to a setup role.
MARCH 31, 2023 ROTOWIRE
Lucas Luetge - Snags win in opener Luetge (1-0) picked up the win Opening Day against the Nationals, allowing one run on two hits over one inning of relief.
Impact The southpaw replaced Max Fried (hamstring) in the fourth inning with Atlanta ahead 4-1, and the Nats never came close to tying the score. Luetge is expected to begin the season in middle relief -- even with Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) on the shelf, A.J. Minter and potentially Dylan Lee are still ahead of Luetge on the depth chart from the left side -- but Atlanta's offense is potent enough that he could vulture some wins, something the 36-year-old did eight times over the last two seasons with the Yankees.
MARCH 31, 2023 ROTOWIRE
CJ Abrams - Shows nerves Thursday Abrams went 0-for-4 with a strikeout while also committing three errors in the field during an Opening Day loss to Atlanta.
Impact Getting the start at shortstop and batting ninth in the order on his first MLB Opening Day, Abrams' first error could easily have been ruled a hit as it came on a scorching grounder by Ronald Acuna, but there was no excuse for his two airmailed throws later in the game. The Nationals are rebuilding in 2023 and will live with Abrams' growing pains, but the 22-year-old might have a long way to go before he'll be a reliable big-league player -- or a reliable fantasy asset.
