Joely Rodríguez - Removed with right torso pain Rodriguez left Saturday's Grapefruit League appearance with right torso pain, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.
Impact Rodriguez looked to be in significant pain when he left the outing, and was grabbing at his side. The left-hander will likely need to undergo testing to determine the severity of the injury. If healthy, Rodriguez is expected to be a middle-relief option for Boston in 2023.

Kyle Wright - Spring debut coming Monday Wright (shoulder) told reporters that he's scheduled to start Monday's Grapefruit League game the Rays, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact Wright has been able to face hitters, as Toscano notes, but this will be his first appearance in a spring training game in 2023. The right-hander was one of the biggest surprises in baseball last year with 21 wins, but he received a cortisone injection in January in his right shoulder and has been behind schedule. Assuming good health through the rest of camp, Wright should be ready to roll for the regular season, but he may not get a chance to pitch until the second series of the campaign.

Sean Murphy - Looking for first spring homer Murphy went 1-for-3 with a walk in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox.
Impact The 28-year-old hasn't made much of an impact at the plate this spring, going 4-for-17 in seven games with only one extra-base hit, a double, but Murphy is locked into the starting role at catcher for Atlanta. He slugged a career-high 18 homers and 66 RBI in 148 games last season for the A's, and while he may not see quite that workload in 2023 with a capable backup in Travis d'Arnaud behind him, the better lineup context could still lead Murphy to top last year's production.

Braden Shewmake - Swipes bag Friday Shewmake went 2-for-3 with a stolen base in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox.
Impact Getting the start at shortstop and hitting seventh, Shewmake swiped his first bag of the spring on his second attempt. The 25-year-old has put himself in the mix to be Atlanta's Opening Day shortstop with some strong glovework this spring, and he hasn't hurt his case with his bat by going 9-for-27 (.333) with two doubles and a triple, as well as a respectable 2:5 BB:K. Vaughn Grissom has also hit well this spring and offers more upside at the plate, albeit perhaps with shakier defense, so this job battle could come down to the wire in camp.
