Impact Cabrera was a prime candidate to be traded, but the 36-year-old infielder remained with Arizona past Friday's trade deadline. That was plenty of time for him to bolster the Diamondbacks' lead, as he delivered a two-run double in his first plate appearance. Despite being out of the lineup Saturday, Cabrera could be in line for plenty of plate appearances while both Ketel Marte (hamstring) and Josh Rojas (finger) remain on the injured list. Through 225 plate appearances this season, Cabrera is hitting .247/.338/.402 with five home runs, 26 runs scored and 30 RBI.

Impact It's not clear when the hamstring issue arose for Cabrera, but the infielder last played Friday against the Dodgers. The move to the injured list will keep the 35-year-old on the shelf until July 20 at a minimum, and it remains to be seen if he could need additional time to recover.
