Impact Arizona is sending its second lefty starter (Mitch Bratt) to the hill in as many days, and the left-handed-hitting Crooks has been left on the bench on both occasions. St. Louis will go with Pedro Pages as their starting catcher in place of Crooks.

Impact The left-handed-hitting Burleson started against Arizona lefty Eduardo Rodriguez in Tuesday's 4-3 loss, but the first baseman will retreat to the bench Wednesday while the Diamondbacks send a second straight lefty (Mitch Bratt) to the bump. Blaze Jordan will take Burleson's spot in the field and will bat eighth.

Impact After starting in center field in the first two games following Jordan Lawlar's (hamstring) placement on the injured list Saturday, Barrosa now finds himself on the bench for a third straight contest. Rather than getting an extended look in a near-everyday role, Barrosa looks like he'll continue to serve as a fourth outfielder while Tommy Troy instead serves as the primary replacement for Lawlar in center.
