J.T. Realmuto - Cleared to rejoin lineup Realmuto (foot) will start at catcher and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Cubs, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Impact Realmuto was held out of the starting nine for Sunday's 4-3 loss to Arizona after fouling a ball off of his foot a night earlier, but manager Rob Thomson never suggested that the veteran backstop was at risk of missing significant time beyond that. A day of rest appears to have provided sufficient time for Realmuto's sore foot to heal, as he'll be back behind the plate as Philadelphia opens a three-game set with Chicago.

Jonathan Bowlan - Out with groin strain The Phillies placed Bowlan on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right groin strain.
Impact Right-hander Seth Johnson was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to join the bullpen as a replacement for Bowlan, who presumably sustained the injury during his appearance in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks. Bowlan had been working in middle relief for Philadelphia and posted a 3.86 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 8:1 K:BB across seven innings over seven appearances on the season.
