Brewers' Hoskins reinstated after thumb injury, says he's ready to accept limited role

Call-up pending The Brewers are expected to call up Seigler from Triple-A Nashville, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reported Sunday.

Impact Seigler inked a minor league contract with the Brewers in November after spending seven seasons in the Yankees organization. The 26-year-old has slashed .277/.416/.465 with seven home runs and 20 stolen bases over 267 plate appearances with Nashville this season. He's split time between second base, third base and catcher this season. It'll be his MLB debut if he gets into a game.

Signs with Milwaukee as NRI The Brewers signed Seigler to a minor-league contract Nov. 19 that includes an invitation to spring training.

Impact Seigler was a first-round pick of the Yankees back in 2018 but has yet to advance past the Double-A level, having slashed .234/.350/.398 with 12 homers and 29 steals at Double-A Somerset in 2024. He was a full-time second baseman last season after primarily being a catcher previously. Seigler will likely begin the 2025 season at Triple-A Nashville.
