Staying in rotation Pallante will remain in the Cardinals' rotation following the injury to Lance Lynn (knee), John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Impact Pallante had appeared to be the most likely candidate to lose his spot following the club's trade for Erick Fedde, but Lynn's injury gives Pallante a reprieve. The 25-year-old Pallante has pitched well since joining the rotation in late May, posting a 3.61 ERA and 43:18 K:BB over 52.1 frames covering 10 starts. He could still be a candidate to shift to relief when Lynn returns, but for now Pallante will continue getting regular turns in the St. Louis rotation.
