Out with blister
Cobb was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with blister on his right middle finger. The move is retroactive to May 5.
Impact
The 33-year-old lined up to start Monday but will now be on the injured list until at least next weekend. It's unclear when the blister first surfaced, and Cobb pitched well during his last outing Tuesday with only two unearned runs given up across five frames. According to Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times, Jose Suarez could be in the mix to take the mound Monday after being scratched from his scheduled start at Triple-A on Saturday.

Suffers tough-luck loss
Cobb (1-2) was charged with the loss Tuesday against Tampa Bay as a result of allowing two unearned runs on two hits and five walks across five innings. He struck out eight.
Impact
Cobb struggled with his control in the outing, walking five and throwing only 53 of 99 pitches for strikes. Still, it was the Los Angeles defense that was primarily responsible for both runs that scored against him. A pair of first-inning Angels errors led to an unearned run, and another miscue in the fifth frame led to the second tally against the right-hander. Cobb was able to avoid additional damage by striking out eight batters and allowing only two hits (both singles). He lowered his season ERA to 5.48 ERA in the outing, and he now boasts a 31:10 K:BB across 21.1 frames. Cobb's next start could come Monday at Houston.

Another short outing
Cobb allowed three earned runs on six hits and no walks while striking out two across two innings Wednesday against the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.
Impact
Cobb couldn't put hitters away and had several lengthy at-bats, which resulted in him being pulled after two innings and 51 pitches of subpar work. This was his second consecutive start in which he failed to escape the third inning, and he now has a 7.16 ERA across 16.1 frames for the season. His indicators suggest that he deserves better results -- he has a 23:5 K:BB and 2.34 FIP -- so he'll look to turn things around in his next outing, which is currently projected for Wednesday against Tampa Bay.

Falls apart in loss
Cobb (1-1) was charged with the loss Thursday against the Astros, surrendering five runs (four earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out four across 2.2 innings.
Impact
Cobb got off to a rocky first inning, loading the bases on back-to-back singles and a walk with two outs. Luckily, the 33-year-old slammed the door by striking out Kyle Tucker to end the frame. Things proved even tougher in the second inning, during which Cobb allowed the Astros to put three runs on the board, including a triple by Myles Straw and a run walked in. It was a disappointing outing to see after the right-hander had a strong showing his last time around, striking out 10 over 5.2 innings against the Royals on April 12. Cobb will look to bounce back when he takes the mound again Wednesday at Texas.

Fans 10 in win
Cobb (1-0) allowed three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out 10 over 5.2 innings in a win over Royals on Monday.
Impact
Cobb had been pushed back a day due to a rainout, which may have been a blessing as Cobb was said to be managing a blister at the end of last week. He showed no ill effects Monday, getting 19 swinging strikes on 97 pitches. The right-hander has followed in Dylan Bundy's path and is off to a great start with the Angels after finally getting out of Baltimore. With Shohei Ohtani (finger) looking unlikely to start a game on the mound this week, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register, Cobb projects to take the ball this weekend at home against Minnesota.
