Begins rehab assignment Cimber (back) began a rehab assignment with Low-A Dunedin on Thursday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Impact Cimber walked one and struck out one in two-thirds of an inning. It's not clear how many rehab appearances he'll need before being activated, but it shouldn't be too many since he's missed less than three weeks of action.

Impact Assuming he bounces back well, Cimber could be ready for a rehab assignment. He's been out since late April with a back injury but isn't far off from rejoining Toronto's bullpen.

After recording career highs with four saves, 10 wins and 20 holds in 2022, the 32-year-old right-hander will serve in a high-leverage role once again with Toronto, but his lack of strikeouts limits his fantasy ceiling in some formats.
