Takes fifth loss Bummer (2-5) took the loss Wednesday versus Toronto. He allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out two in two-thirds of an inning. Impact Bummer fanned Marcus Semien and Vladimir Guerrero to open the eighth inning, but he allowed a run on three straight singles before Jose Ruiz relieved him. Ruiz then allowed an inherited runner to score after an error and a walk, but it was Bummer who took the loss. The southpaw has a 4.36 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 62:28 K:BB across 43.1 innings this year. He's added 16 holds, two saves and six blown saves in a high-leverage role, although he's now allowed runs in consecutive outings for the first time since late May.
