The Houston Texans, behind a lockdown performance from their defense, cruised past the Pittsburgh Steelers and into the next round of the 2025 NFL playoffs.

Neither Aaron Rodgers nor C.J. Stroud found much success in this AFC wild-card matchup inside Acrisure Stadium. But, in Stroud's case, the young quarterback's best wasn't required en route to his third playoff win in the franchise's first-ever road playoff game. 

Rodgers and the Steelers welcomed the return of wide receiver DK Metcalf, back from a two-game suspension, for a stiff test against Houston, but the star wideout was held in check by a vaunted Texans defense, led by All-Pros Will Anderson Jr., Derek Stingley Jr. and Danielle Hunter.
