DK Metcalf - NFL News, Rumors, & Updates

Big volume in OT win Metcalf caught 11 of 15 targets for 93 yards in Sunday's 26-19 overtime win over the Buccaneers.

Impact The targets and catches were season highs for Metcalf, while the veteran WR came up just short of his second 100-yard performance in the last three weeks. Metcalf will take a 30-318-1 line on 52 targets into a Week 7 clash with the Saints in Paris.

Cleared for Week 6 The Steelers removed Metcalf (illness) from the injury report Saturday, and the veteran wide receiver will be available for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Adam Schefter of E...

Impact Metcalf popped up on Friday's injury report due to an illness and drew the questionable tag, but the eighth-year pro has been given the green light to play in Sunday's contest. He saw a season-low four targets in Week 5 against the Colts, but Metcalf and the other Steelers pass catchers would all be in a bump for more passes if Pat Freiermuth -- who was added to Saturday's injury report due to a calf injury -- is unable to play against Tampa Bay.

Questionable due to illness Metcalf is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers after missing Friday's practice due to an illness.

Impact Metcalf wasn't listed on the injury report Wednesday or Thursday, which suggests he started feeling sick Thursday evening or Friday morning. He'll have 48-plus hours to recover before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday, and the Steelers might want him active even if he isn't at full strength, given their myriad of injury problems at wide receiver. Roman Wilson (finger) and Ben Skowronek (calf) are out this week, leaving Germie Bernard and return specialist Kaden Wetjen as the only healthy WRs on the active roster. Brandon Johnson was called up from the practice squad last week.

Quiet day in Week 5 win Metcalf caught three of four targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 34-22 win over the Colts.

Impact The veteran wideout didn't make much impact as a pass catcher, but his blocking played a big role on a pair of long Jaylen Warren touchdowns. It was still a disappointing showing from Metcalf after he popped for a 5-115-0 line the week before, but he remains Aaron Rodgers' top downfield threat with a 19-225-1 line on 37 targets through five games. He'll likely be a feast or famine option once again in Week 6 against the Buccaneers.

Vaults over century mark in loss Metcalf brought in five of nine targets for 115 yards in the Steelers' 27-24 loss to the Browns on Thursday.

Impact Metcalf led the Steelers across the stat sheet in receptions, receiving yards and targets, and his production in the first two categories also qualified as new season highs. The veteran wideout started slowly, but he came on with catches of 43, 22 and 28 yards in the fourth quarter. The standout night was a welcome sight for fantasy managers, who'd seen Metcalf post an inefficient and modest 11-98-1 line on 24 targets over his first three games. Metcalf will aim to carry over the momentum into a Week 5 home matchup against the Colts on Sunday, Oct. 11.

First TD of season in win Metcalf brought in three of five targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers' 30-27 win over the Bengals on Sunday.

Impact Metcalf once again put together a very modest receiving line, but the veteran wideout managed to deliver his first touchdown of the season on a six-yard grab late in the third quarter. Metcalf's high-water mark through three games is the four-catch, 40-yard tally he managed in Week 1 against the Falcons, but with Aaron Rodgers and the passing attack as a whole looking much more cohesive Sunday, there's some hope for an uptick in production during a Week 4 road matchup against the Browns on Thursday night.
