Added to field in La Jolla Yuan has been added to the field at this week's Farmers Insurance Open, PGA Tour Communications reports.

Impact Yuan gets the nod after Chesson Hadley withdrew on Monday with an undisclosed issue. Yuan lost his PGA Tour card after struggling much of 2024, but he'll still be able to use conditional status to get into a handful of events. Yuan finished T53 at The Bahamas Golf Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour last week.

Shoots two-over Sunday Yuan shot a two-over 73 on Sunday in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to finish tied for 29th place.

Impact Yuan made the cut for just the second time in his past seven events at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship; however, his double bogey on hole 11 and bogey on hole 15 caused him to drop 14 spots and finish tied for 29th. The 27-year-old showed flashes of brilliance throughout the weekend, tying for the most eagles (three) and ranking 17th in driving distance, with an average of 289.9 yards.

Puts on short game show Yuan carded a three-under 68 in the final round of the Valspar Championship to finish in a tie for fifth place.

Impact Yuan led the field in driving distance this week, but it was really his short game that impressed everyone this week ranking third in SG: Around-the-Green and holing out on a few different occasions. Yuan now has two top-five finishes this season, but has made just one cut in six other starts. Yuan will be in the field for the Houston Open next week.

Firmly on bubble going to RSM Yuan fired a five-under 66 in the final round to finish in solo fourth place at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Impact Yuan got off to a slow start with a 70 in the first round, but went 63-65-66 to move all the way to solo fourth and earn him enough points to land him No. 125 in the FedExCup Fall going to the RSM Classic. Yuan's only top-10's of the 2022-23 season have come in the fall (T6 at Sanderson Farms). He has gained 26 spots in the FedExCup during the fall and will have a chance to use this late surge and secure full playing status for the 2024 season. An off week could lead to Yuan being relegated to take conditional status.
