Misses cut in return
Finau missed the cut at the 3M Open by four strokes following a two-under 69 second round.
Impact
Finau withdrew from the Genesis Scottish Open but was back in action at TPC Twin Cities. He got off to a three-over start through the first three holes in the opening round and wasn't able to make up enough ground to qualify for the weekend, marking his sixth missed cut in 20 tournaments this season. Finau has just one top-10 to his name in 2026 (T6 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson) and is 83rd in the FedExCup Standings, with only the top-70 qualifying for the playoffs. There are two tournaments left in the PGA Tour regular-season schedule, and Finau is in the field for next week's Rocket Classic, which he won in 2022 but missed the cut in his last appearance at Detroit Golf Club in 2023.

Out of Genesis Scottish Open
Finau has withdrawn his name from the field for this week's Genesis Scottish Open, Rob Bolton of PGATour.com reports.
Impact
Finau is coming off a T58 at the John Deere Classic where he ranked first among the field in total feet of putts made and third in SG: Off-the-Tee, but he's elected against traveling to Scotland this week. He'll be replaced in the field by Marcus Armitage.

T55 at Travelers Championship
Finau carded an even-par 70 on Sunday at the Travelers Championship to finish six-under and tied for 55th.
Impact
Finau racked up 19 total birdies and an eagle throughout his week at TPC River Highlands, but he also converted just eight of 19 scrambling opportunities while losing 3.27 strokes putting en route to 11 bogeys and a pair of doubles. The 36-year-old slid two spots to No. 77 in the FedExCup standings, and he'll be in the field again this week at TPC Deere Run for his first John Deere Classic appearance since 2015.

Misses cut at Charles Schwab
Finau posted a 70-70 scorecard over the first two rounds of the Charles Schwab Challenge to miss the cuts by two strokes.
Impact
Finau opened the tournament with 19 consecutive pars before logging a birdie on the par-5 11th in the second round. The cut line was set at two-under, but Finau was unable to make up enough ground Friday to make it to the weekend after his bogey on the 36th hole. He connected on just 13 of 28 fairways over his two rounds but still gained 0.62 strokes off the tee, though he lost strokes across other statistical categories. Finau will look to get back on track next week at the Memorial Tournament, where he's made the cut in eight of nine previous outings, including T8 in 2024 and T31 last year.

T6 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson
Finau posted a bogey-free, six-under 65 in the final round of THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson to finish tied with Zach Bauchou and Tom Hoge for sixth.
Impact
Finau's best round of the tournament was his bogey-free, eight-under 63 on Friday that included three-straight birdies over the final three holes. Given that it was a low-scoring event, Finau's two-under 69 score Saturday dropped him out of serious contention for his seventh PGA Tour win. However, he did enough Sunday to jump six spots up the leaderboard for his best finish of the 2026 season and his best performance since his T5 at The Genesis Invitational in February of 2025. Finau finished the tournament third in both GIR and SG: Off-the-Tee, fourth in driving distance, T5 in birdies made and in the top-20 in both SG: Approach and Around-the-Green. Finau is in the field for the Charles Schwab Challenge next week, where he finished T17 in his last outing in 2024 and has made the cut in eight of nine previous appearances, including T4 in 2022 and solo second in 2019.
