T45 at Royal Portrush Lawrence closed with a one-over 72 on Sunday at The Open Championship to finish one-under and tied for 45th.

Impact Lawrence finished his week at Royal Portrush ranked top-15 among the major field in both SG: Putting and driving accuracy, but he fell to just 63rd in SG: Approach. Despite the underwhelming iron play, he still managed to rack up 15 birdies across 72 holes. Lawrence plans to tee it up again this week at TPC Twin Cities where he missed the cut in his 3M Open debut last year.

Posts four rounds in the 60s Lawrence carded a three-under 69 on Sunday at the Rocket Classic to finish in a share of eighth place.

Impact Lawrence trailed by three shots heading into the final round, but four birdies weren't enough on a day when scores were low to contend for the title. He was led by his ball striking, ranking 12th in SG: Off-the-tee, seventh on approach and also led the field by hitting 86 percent of fairways for the week. The PGA Tour rookie has now posted top-15 finishes in back-to-back events.

Struggles in final round Lawrence carded a five-over 75 in his final round of the U.S. Open to fall into a tie for 12th in his first ever U.S. Open.

Impact Lawrence came into his first U.S. Open struggling for the season as he had missed the cut in seven of his last ten tournaments. So when Lawrence opened as one of ten players to begin the U.S. Open under par in their first round after shooting a three-under 67, Lawrence was the surprise of the tournament. While he wasn't able to back up his impressive first round, he still competed hard shooting a second round 74 and a third round even par 70, to remain toward the top of the leaderboard and just four shots off the lead heading into Sunday. Sunday came as expected for Lawrence as he opened going bogey, double-bogey in his first two holes. While he steadied the ship, the rough start attributed to Lawrence shooting a final round 75 and finishing in a tie for 12th for the tournament. Overall, Lawrence exceed expectations and compared to the rest of the field, he on average gained strokes in every strokes-gained categories for the week, finishing with gaining over two strokes on the field in SG: Total. He will look to build on this going forward throughout the rest of the season.

One last push at Race to Dubai title Lawrence fired an eight-under 64 in the final round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship to move up into a share of sixth place.

Impact Lawrence's great final round that included a pair of eagles was enough to keep him alive for the Race to Dubai title for the DP World Tour Championship next week. Lawrence will need to win in Dubai and then hope Rory McIlroy finishes at minimum outside the top-10. Whether or not it happens, Lawrence has still had an incredible 2024 with 11 finishes of T11-or-better this season on the DPWT. The South African will earn a PGA Tour card for 2025 and hope to best the T5 he posted last year at the DP World Tour Championship.

Falls in playoff at Wentworth Lawrence was defeated in a playoff by Billy Horschel at the BMW PGA Championship following a seven-under 65 in the final round.

Impact Lawrence surged out in front following his fourth birdie in six holes at the par-4 16th. He would be tracked down by both Horschel and Rory McIlroy, however, after Lawrence failed to birdie either of the two par-5 closing holes. The South African was also swiftly eliminated in the playoff after finding the hazard on the first extra hole. Lawrence will certainly rue how he played three straight par-5s, but shooting 65-65 on the weekend is no small feat in a tournament of this magnitude. Lawrence moves up to second in the Race to Dubai standings and is closing in on earning a PGA Tour card in 2025. Lawrence is not in the field for the acciona Open de Espana next week.
