Another missed cut Yellamaraju missed the cut by four strokes at the 3M Open following a one-over 72 in the second round.
Impact The 25-year-old Canadian was sitting at even par through 27 holes and needed to gain three strokes on the back nine of the second round, but he finished his tournament outing with two bogeys, two birdies and a double bogey over the last nine holes. Yellamaraju connected on 75.0 percent of fairways at TPC Twin Cities but lost 3.05 strokes in his approach play. He's missed the cut in three of his last four events, with a T52 at the Genesis Scottish Open being the exception. Yellamaraju has four MCs and one top-10 (T8 at the Canadian Open) over his last 12 tournaments since his T6 at the Texas Children's Houston Open. He's currently 52nd in the FedExCup Standings heading into next week's Rocket Classic, which will be his debut at Detroit Golf Club.
6 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Collapses with Sunday 77 Yellamaraju finished in a seven-way tie for 52nd at the Genesis Scottish Open following his seven-over 77 in the final round.
Impact Yellamaraju was in the top-15 on the leaderboard heading into Sunday after rounds of 68-65-69. The 25-year-old Canadian was one-under through his first eight holes of the final round but was all out of sorts the rest of the way. He posted three-straight bogeys from holes nine to 11 and a triple bogey on the par-4 13th before ending his day with back-to-back bogeys on the last two holes. For the final round, Yellamaraju ranked T69 in SG: Putting, 66th in SG: Approach and 64th in SG: Off-the-Tee while connecting on only five of 13 fairways. It was an incredibly disappointing finish for Yellamaraju, who was looking to bounce back from two-straight missed cuts (the U.S. Open and John Deere Classic). He'll have at least one week off, as he's not listed in the field for The Open Championship nor the Corales Puntacana Championship.
JULY 12 • ROTOWIRE
Misses cut at John Deere Classic Yellamaraju posted a two-under cumulative score through the first two rounds of the John Deere Classic and missed the cut by one stroke.
Impact The 24-year-old Canadian gave himself a shot at making it to the weekend after posting an eagle on the par-5 17th hole in the second round, but his 20-foot putt attempt for birdie on the 18th hole barely missed the cup. Yellamaraju's opening round was sunk by poor iron play, as he lost 2.70 strokes in his approach play Thursday (and 2.30 strokes over two rounds). He's now missed the cut in four of his last six tournaments, including both the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open. Yellamaraju will tee off at the Genesis Scottish Open next week in what will be his debut at the event.
JULY 4 • ROTOWIRE
Low Canadian at TPC Toronto Yellamaraju posted a two-under 68 on Sunday at the RBC Canadian Open to finish 12-under and tied for eighth.
Impact Yellamaraju ranked third among the field in SG: Approach and he broke par in all four of his rounds at TPC Toronto en route to Low Canadian honors, ascending four spots to No. 44 in the FedExCup standings as well. He's up to 24th on Tour in SG: Off-the-Tee this season, and the impressive rookie now heads to Shinnecock Hills for his U.S. Open debut.

Impact Yellamaraju will replace Jake Knapp (thumb), who looked to go for the tournament before his last-minute withdrawal. The former recently posted a one-under cumulative score in Charles Schwab.
JUNE 2 • ROTOWIRE
Misses cut after double bogey Yellamaraju posted a one-under cumulative score through the first two rounds of the Charles Schwab Challenge to miss the cut by one stroke.
Impact Yellamaraju started out slowly with a one-over 71 in the first round, but the young Canadian tracking toward the weekend after catching fire on the back nine of the second round, carding five birdies from holes two to eight. Unfortunately for Yellamaraju, disaster struck on his 36th hole after his approach shot found the grandstand. That lead to a three-putt double bogey to end the day with a three-under 68 score, missing the weekend by only one stroke. He has missed the cut in each of his last two events, a far cry from the T5-T6-T14 stretch that he enjoyed across THE PLAYERS Championship, Valero Texas Open and RBC Heritage Open. Yellamaraju will look to turn things around next week at the Memorial Tournament, which will be debut appearance at the Signature Event.

Earns spot in PGA Championship Yellamaraju finished in a tie for 19th place at the Truist Championship on Sunday and earned a spot in next week's PGA Championship.
Impact Yellamaraju was announced last week by the PGA of America as the first alternate, but as long as the winner of the Truist was already in the field for the PGA Championship he was going to be okay. Kristoffer Reitan got his first PGA Tour victory at Quail Hollow, but he had already clinched a spot, so the final spot in the 156-man field will go to Yellamaraju. The PGA Tour rookie has had a very nice season with two top-10s and six top-20s now following this T19 in Charlotte. Yellamaraju ranked 11th in SG: Off-the-Tee and seventh in SG: Approach this week, but was 63rd in SG: Putting. The putter will be an area he is focusing on ahead of his first round tee time at Aronimink.

For the week, he racked up 19 total birdies despite losing 1.95 strokes on approach in Miami. The 24-year-old Canadian resides 36th in the FedExCup standings ahead of the upcoming Truist Championship, where he'll be making his Quail Hollow Club debut.

Ninth in proximity at Harbour Town Yellamaraju fired a three-under 68 on Sunday at the RBC Heritage to finish five-under and tied for 52nd.
Impact Yellamaraju ranked top-10 among the Signature Event field in both overall proximity and par-5 scoring during his Harbour Town debut, but he also lost a collective 1.87 strokes on and around the greens en route to nine total bogeys and a triple across 72 holes. The 24-year-old Canadian falls just two spots to No. 32 in the FedExCup standings with his worst result since a T54 at the WM Phoenix Open in early February, and he'll be in attendance again this week for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside playing partner Ryan Gerard.

Continues to play well Yellamaraju closed with a three-under 67 on Sunday to finish in a share of sixth place at the Texas Children's Houston Open.
Impact Yellamaraju was stuck in neutral for much of the day on Sunday, but carded birdies at 13, 15 and 16 to secure a T6 finish. Sunday was one of two bogey-free rounds this week for the Canadian. Yellamaraju was very strong in all areas this week, gaining at least 2.2 strokes in every category. This is his second straight top-10 finish after a T5 last time out at TPC Sawgrass. He has missed just one cut all season and is now inside the Top 30 in the FedExCup standings. Yellamaraju will look to keep it rolling at the Valero Texas Open next week.

Impresses at TPC Sawgrass Yellamaraju recorded a nine-under cumulative score at THE PLAYERS Championship to finish tied with Jacob Bridgeman and Ludvig Aberg for fifth.
Impact Yellamaraju made his first appearance at TPC Sawgrass this week, and his performance over the weekend was eye opening for fans who haven't watched the 24-year-old Canadian this season. He posted a bogey-free, six-under 66 score Saturday that included four consecutive birdies from holes three to six. He followed that up with a four-under 68 in the final round that would have been even better had he not bogeyed the par-4 18th hole. Yellamaraju made up for his shortcomings around the green with his putter, ranking fourth in the field in SG: Putting (5.50 strokes gained) while also ranking T2 in driving distance, T10 in birdies made and in the top-15 in driving accuracy and SG: Off-the-Tee. It was the first top-5 finish at a PGA Tour event in Yellamaraju's career, and he has made the cut in six of his first seven tournaments of the season, including three top-20 finishes. He'll certainly garner more attention at the Valspar Championship next week.

Leads Sony Open in driving distance Yellamaraju finished in a six-way tie for 13th at the Sony Open after carding a five-under 65 in the final round.
Impact Yellamaraju could have been in contention for a top-5 finish in Hawaii had it not been for his two-over 72 score in the third round Saturday. The 24-year-old Canadian led the field in driving distance (328.40 yards) and finished in the top-20 in putts per GIR and SG: Off the Tee. It was an impressive performance from Yellamaraju given that it was just the second PGA Tour tournament of his career, and he rose 42 spots to 236th in the OWGR heading into The American Express.
