Third in SG: APP at TOUR Championship
Kim carded a one-under 69 on Sunday at the TOUR Championship to finish nine-under and tied for 14th.
Impact
Kim's final round at East Lake was highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 10th hole, where he made his 120-yard approach shot with a full wedge from the fairway. He ultimately finished the event ranked third among the field in SG: Approach and fourth in SG: Around-the-Green while converting 18 of 24 scrambling opportunities, but he lost 2.14 strokes off the tee and another 2.61 strokes with the flat stick in Atlanta. A 14th-place finish in the 2026 FedExCup standings is the best of Kim's career, and he earned $10.3 million in official earnings through 24 starts on the PGA Tour this season.

T33 at BMW Championship
Kim carded a one-under 69 on Sunday at the BMW Championship to finish two-under and tied for 33rd.
Impact
Kim ranked T6 among the field in FIR at Bellerive, but he still lost 2.18 strokes with his ball striking throughout the week, and he also lost 2.06 strokes with the flat stick in St. Louis. It was Kim's first negative SG: APP performance since mid-May's PGA Championship, though he enters the upcoming TOUR Championship fifth in the FedExCup standings.

Solo second at St. Jude Championship
Kim posted a bogey-free, two-under 68 in the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship to finish as the tournament runner-up to Scottie Scheffler.
Impact
Kim made his big move up the leaderboard Saturday with a five-under 65, during which he carded four birdies over a five-hole span from the eighth to the 12th. He didn't gain a ton of ground on the scorecard Sunday, but with others at the top of the leaderboard faltering, it was enough for Kim to sneak into solo second, though nobody could catch up to the World No. 1, with Scheffler winning the event by eight strokes. Kim's scrambling game helped him a ton, converting on 21 of 26 opportunities to rank second in the field. He also co-led the field in driving accuracy while ranking second in bogeys, fifth in both SG: Off-the-Tee and Approach and T8 in GIR. Kim's efforts in Memphis moved him up three spots to fourth in the FedExCup Standings heading into next week's BMW Championship, where he finished T19 last year and T5 in 2024.

Fades after holding lead on Sunday
Kim had to settle for a share of sixth place after shooting a two-over 72 in the final round of the Open Championship.
Impact
Kim had just one top-10 finish in 37 career major championship starts coming into the week, but on Sunday he found himself holding the outright lead in position to win one of the biggest championships for the first time. A few loose shots led to bogeys on 11 and 12, which put him back on the chase. Unfortunately, Kim just was unable to execute the shots he needed and the short game got a little clunky with two more bogeys on 16 and 18. This will be a definite learning experience for Kim, as he has never really put himself in position on Sunday to have a chance to win a major championship before. This will be his 10th top-10 finish on the PGA Tour in 2026, but zero have resulted in victory. Kim's last win came way back at the 2023 Sony Open. He will hope to check that off the list before the end of the FedExCup season.

Share of ninth in Scotland
Kim recorded an 11-under cumulative score at the Genesis Scottish Open to finish tied with Victor Perez for ninth.
Impact
Kim made the cut by one stroke following a three-under 67 in the second round, but he steadily rose up the leaderboard over the weekend thanks to back-to-back, four-under 66 scores. It was the ninth top-10 of the season for Kim, three of which have come over his last five outings, including solo second at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in May. His 21 birdies and 71.2 percent driving accuracy were both tied for best in the field at The Renaissance Club, and he also ranked 12th in SG: Around, 19th in SG: Approach and 21st in SG: Putting. Kim will tee off next week at The Open Championship, where he's missed the cut in four of seven previous outings, including last year at Royal Portrush and in his debut in 2017 at Royal Birkdale, the venue of this year's Open.

T44 at TPC River Highlands
Kim closed with a three-over 73 on Sunday at the Travelers Championship to finish nine-under and tied for 44th.
Impact
Kim played Rounds 2 and 3 in a collective 11-under-par, but he ultimately lost a combined 3.98 strokes on and around the greens throughout his week at TPC River Highlands, converting just nine of 18 scrambling opportunities in the process. On a more positive note, he ranked top-20 among the Signature Event field in both SG: Approach and putts per GIR en route to 20 total birdies. At sixth in the current FedExCup standings, Kim will skip the upcoming John Deere Classic.

Posts eighth top-10 of 2026
Kim fired a six-under 66 on Sunday at the Memorial Tournament to finish in a share of 10th place.
Impact
Kim only made the cut by two shots but that didn't stop him from turning things around on the weekend with rounds of 69-66 to surge all the way into the top-10 for his eighth such result of the year. He gained at least a shot in every strokes gained category for the week and was notably second in Putts per GIR. Kim has posted a top-10 in three of the last four signature events.
