Unable to convert 54-hole lead Burns shot a two-under 69 on Sunday at The Genesis Invitational to finish in solo third place. Impact Burns was looking to go wire-to-wire for his first PGA Tour victory, holding the sole lead after each of the first three rounds. He extended his lead to three after a four-under front-nine, but he stumbled on the back with three bogeys in a four hole stretch to surrender the lead. Needing a birdie on the closing par-4 18th, Burns was unable to chip-in after a poor drive and approach. Nevertheless, he continues to trend in the right direction and has three top-10 results this season.
