Poor opening round at Augusta MacIntyre missed the cut by three strokes at The Masters after posting an 80-71 scorecard over the first two rounds.

Impact MacIntyre had momentum behind him heading into The Masters after finishing fourth at THE PLAYERS and T2 at the Valero Texas Open last week. However, that play didn't carry over into Augusta National, with the lowlight of his opening round being his quadruple bogey on the par-5 15th hole. He went under-par in a respectable performance Friday, but MacIntyre dug too big of a hole for himself to make it to the weekend, and he has missed the cut in each of his last two outings at The Masters. He'll look to bounce back at the RBC Heritage, where he finished T66 in 2025 and T59 in his Harbour Town debut in 2021.

Falls short at Valero Texas Open MacIntyre posted a two-under 70 during the final round of the Valero Texas Open to finish with a 16-under cumulative score and tied for second.

Impact MacIntyre was the man to beat heading into the weekend after posting scores of 66-64 over the first two days of the tournament, accumulating 13 birdies, one eagle and just one bogey over that span. The third round was suspended due to inclement weather, and that appeared to set back MacIntyre, who was unable to grow his once dominant lead heading into the final round. He was eventually surpassed by the likes of Matt Wallace and Michael Kim, but MacIntyre's eagle on the par-4 17th meant he needed a birdie on the 18th to force a playoff with J.J. Spaun. MacIntyre's third shot from the mud found the green in regulation, but his 28-foot birdie putt fell short, handing Spaun his third PGA Tour victory. It was a disappointing finish for MacIntyre given how he opened the tournament, but the 29-year-old Scotsman has recorded back-to-back top-4 finishes. That gives him some momentum heading into The Masters next week, where he finished T12 and T23 in 2021 and 2022, respectively, before missing the cut last year.
