Patrick Reed Is Returning To The PGA Tour, But Will Have To Wait His Turn The former Masters winner is done with LIV, and is seeking a return back to the PGA Tour.

Leaving LIV to return to PGA Tour Reed will leave LIV Golf effective immediately and will return to the PGA Tour as a past champion member for the 2027 season, he announced via X on Wednesday.

Impact With Reed skipping this season on LIV Golf, he will be eligible to compete in PGA Tour events during the FedExCup Fall. He will play this season on the DP World Tour as an Honorary Lifetime Member. Following his win last week at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Reed is up to second in the Race to Dubai standings. If he is able to stay inside the top 10 DP World Tour members who are not otherwise exempt, Reed would be able to improve his priority ranking on the PGA Tour for the 2027 season. This is another blow to LIV Golf and a good sign for the PGA Tour that players who initially left are trying to find avenues back. Reed is slated to tee it up this week on the DP World Tour at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship.

Victorious at Dubai Desert Classic Reed captured a four-stroke victory over Andy Sullivan at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP Tour following an even-par 72 score in the final round.

Impact Reed had a four-stroke lead heading into Championship Sunday after carding a five-under 67 during the third round. He wasn't able to create any separation during the final round, but his overnight cushion was enough to maintain his lead and capture the fourth DP Tour tournament of his career. Reed finished the tournament second in the field in GIR and sixth in driving accuracy, and his victory in Dubai rose him to second in the Race to Dubai Rankings behind Jayden Schaper. Reed will be in the field for the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship next week, which is one week before the 2026 LIV Golf season kicks off in Riyadh.
