Ninth in SG: Putting at The Genesis
Dunlap closed with a two-under 70 on Sunday at The Genesis Invitational to finish three-under and tied for 17th.
Impact
Dunlap made four birdies en route to a front-nine 32 on Sunday, though he ended the final round with just five fairways and 11 greens in regulation while losing 1.158 strokes off the tee. Nonetheless, he finished the Signature Event ranked ninth among the field in SG: Putting at Torrey Pines. Dunlap remains a perfect 6-for-6 in cuts made to begin his 2025 campaign, residing 50th in the early FedExCup standings.

T34 in title defense
Dunlap posted a four-under 68 in the final round of The American Express to finish tied for 34th place.
Impact
Dunlap served as the defending champion but was unable to replicate the low scores from a year ago with a best round of 67 at the birdie-fest event. He had a solid two rounds on the greens at the Stadium Course, where he ranked 10th in SG: Putting. The result moves Dunlap up to a new career-high of 30th in the OWGR.

Top-10 finish at Sony Open
Dunlap shot a four-under 66 in the final round to finish in a share of 10th place at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Impact
Dunlap put in a nice round on Sunday to gain 10 spots on the leaderboard and notch a top-10 finish. Dunlap had a terrible driving week losing 4.5 strokes off the tee, but he made up for it with a great putting performance gaining over 7.6 strokes on the greens. It was a much better showing than his 55th place finish at The Sentry. Dunlap now goes back to The American Express where he won a year ago as an amateur to gain his PGA Tour card.

Places 55th at The Sentry
Dunlap closed with a two-under 71 on Sunday at The Sentry to finish seven-under and alone in 55th place.
Impact
Dunlap struggled in his first start since being named the 2024 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, losing 4.7 strokes ball striking and another five strokes with his putter at Kapalua this past week. He also finished the event ranked dead last among the field in driving accuracy, and Dunlap recorded just 15 birdies across 72 holes. His next tournament appearance will come this week at Waialae Country Club, making his Sony Open in Hawaii debut.

Earns Rookie of the Year honors
Dunlap was named the 2024 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, the PGA Tour announced Thursday.
Impact
Going into 2024 Dunlap would have never thought in his wildest dreams that he would earn PGA Tour Rookie of the Year honors. He was going into his sophomore season at Alabama looking to help the Tide compete in the SEC. Everything changed when he got a sponsors invite to play in The American Express in January after winning the U.S. Amateur the year prior. Dunlap put on a clinic in Palm Springs, which even included shooting a 60 in round three to propel him to being the first amateur to win on the PGA Tour since Phil Mickelson in 1991. Dunlap was faced with the tough decision on whether or not to turn pro and be eligible for all Signature Events the rest of the season, or finish out his collegiate career. Dunlap made the choice to turn pro immediately. It was not easy for him after that as he felt the full grind of what being a PGA Tour pro is all about. That said, he showed his talent by collecting a trio of top-12 finishes at the Houston Open, the Memorial and the Rocket Mortgage, before going an getting Win No. 2 on the PGA Tour at the Barracuda Championship, which was played opposite the Open Championship. That helped Dunlap make the FedExCup Playoffs and reach the BMW Championship, meaning he will be exempt for all 2025 Signature Events. Dunlap's upside is sky high and the soon to be 21-year-old is definitely a player to watch going into next season.
