Leads in SG: Approach at Valero Wallace posted a two-under 70 on Sunday at the Valero Texas Open to finish 14-under and in solo third place. Impact Wallace started the day tied for the lead with Jordan Spieth but fell out of the lead after a bogey on the par-4 fourth hole, and he would never regain at least a share of the lead the rest of the way. With Spieth and Hoffman making plenty of birdies, Wallace went through a stretch with 11 straight pars but held on for his third top-5 finish on Tour. He also led the field for the week in strokes-gained approach.
